- About -
Rebecca Lane is an Irish-born, France-raised singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer crafting soulful, pop-driven music shaped by her dual culture. A Jazz Musicology graduate from Toulouse University, but largely self-taught, she blends technical skill with instinctive creativity.
A seasoned performer, she grew up in the southwest of France, near Marmande, close to one of the country’s biggest festivals, Garorock, and was immersed in a rich artistic environment from an early age. She began performing on a variety of stages very early on, ranging from iconic venues such as Whelan’s in Ireland to festivals like Bastid’Art in her hometown, as well as Electric Picnic, Ireland’s largest festival. Today, she is based between France and Ireland and has had the opportunity to open for artists such as Conor Byrne, Self Esteem, and Dave Lofts, to name a few.
For the past seven years, she has been mentored and supported by Michael Pagnatta, a publicist and manager who has worked with legendary artists such as Prince, George Michael, Depeche Mode, and The Rolling Stones, providing invaluable insight.
Over the past three years, Rebecca has travelled across Europe, writing and producing for other artists, expanding her network while refining her sonic universe and artistic identity. She has collaborated with songwriters and producers such as Kanata Okajima (BTS), Alan Roy Scott (Cher), Thomas Turner (Johannes Pietsch), and Liam Geddes (ONEW). With a solid network and trusted team, her focus is now on her solo project while continuing her songwriting.
2025 was a milestone year: performing in New York and winning Three Ireland’s City Stages competition, allowing her to play at Electric Picnic, Ireland’s largest festival, where she performs both solo and alongside artist Self Esteem. Her music has earned national and international radio support, including “track of the week” RTE2FM, “One to Watch” QRadio, FM104, BBC Introducing, Spin and features in The Sun, Goss.ie and The Sunday World. On the songwriting and production side, she has had multiple artists' releases, including a song selected to compete in Dora, the Croatian Eurovision national final.
Rebecca is gaining momentum on TikTok, building an audience through her bilingual approach, translating songs between French and English. Her covers have caught the attention of artists including Alex Warren, JP Saxe, Freya Skye, Mentissa, Jeck, and Carla Lazari. One of them notably caught the attention of Dave Lofts, who invited her to open for his sold-out show in London.
At the heart of her project lies a bilingual narrative, blending English and French in a distinctive universe, blending Ed Sheeran’s acoustic songwriting, Tate McRae’s pop attitude, and RAYE’s jazz-influenced contemporary textures.
Her latest single, “Sweet Tooth”, previews the sound of her forthcoming debut EP, signalling a bold, emotive journey into Rebecca’s unique musical world.
